The reviewed publication is the Third edition of the Commentary on the Czech Act No. 100/2001 Coll., on Environmental Impact Assessment. The Commentary has been published by the Wolters Kluwer ČR Publishing House in 2024. The Czech legislation in this area is one of the basic sources and also the structural elements of the Czech environmental law. Author reflects the requirements of the EU law set by directives, mainly the EIA Directive (2011/92/ EU) and the SEA Directive (2001/42/EC).
JUDr. Libor Dvořák, Ph.D. graduated from the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague in 2001. At present he works at the Ministry of Environment as a head of the Legislative department. He is not only an experienced lawyer, the author or co-author of numerous articles and publications on environmental law in particular, but also a keen rock music disc jockey and great lover and breeder of cats.
